OUR PANEL UPGRADE PROCESS — CLEAR FROM START TO FINISH
A service change is a bigger job than swapping a breaker, so we walk it in clear stages and keep you informed the whole way.
Step 1 — Assessment & Planning
We identify the size of service you need, confirm the panel location, and plan where the new riser will run. We also coordinate with Southern California Edison to establish your meter spot — a free step on their end that has to happen before the work does.
Step 2 — Grounding, Bonding & Prep Day
Before the main event, we handle the groundwork: proper grounding and bonding and all the prep so that panel-change day goes smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Step 3 — Panel Change Day
This is the day your power is off — plan for roughly 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In that window we change out the panel, install the new riser, service conductors, and weather head, flash and seal the penetration, and strap the riser securely. We add a whole-home surge protector, land the ground wire, and — once power is safely reconnected — install and label all the breakers so your new panel is clean, organized, and easy to read.
Step 4 — County Inspection & Final
Finally, San Bernardino County inspects the work and signs off. You end up with a fully permitted, inspected, code-compliant service — done right and documented.
